COVID-19 Studio Rules
The Rose Ballroom has adopted the following rules to comply with Santa Clara County Public Health protocols and help reduce transmission risk of COVID-19. All rules apply to everyone, students and teachers. Reopening is hard work, and we’re all in this together. Please help by taking new rules in stride and making the best of our current situation.
Use the front entrance only.
Please do not enter from the back parking lot. We apologize for any inconvenience.
Digitally sign in each day.
For touchless sign in, simply scan the QR code posted at our front desk. You’ll answer a few COVID-19 screening questions each visit.
Occupancy is limited to 28 persons and by reservation only.
Due to county regulations, studio capacity is now limited to 28 persons. To manage this, please reserve your specific day and time slot using our online reservation system. If you don't see the time you're looking for, please text or email us and we'll try to accommodate. Additional days/hours will be added as we move on.
Face coverings are required to enter.
Wear a face covering to help protect others in case you’re infected but don’t have symptoms. The only exceptions are for people for whom a face covering may not be safe (for example, children 6 and under, or anyone who has trouble breathing or is unable to remove a face covering without assistance). You can remove your mask to address basic biological necessities like drinking, or if you are suddenly short of breath and feel a need for more air. You should replace your mask as soon as possible if you have to remove it. If you are uncomfortable or have difficulty breathing while dancing with a face covering, you should immediately stop the activity.
Maintain a minimum 6-foot distance from others.
Maintain 6 feet of social distance between you and everyone else (including other dancers as well as your teacher/students) at all times. You do not need to stay 6 feet apart from people you live with. Please follow floor markings to help you maintain distance.
Avoid cardio/aerobic exercise inside the studio.
County rules prohibit indoor cardio/aerobic exercise (except at home). Accordingly, please adjust your training/practice to avoid cardio/aerobic exercise inside the studio. Cardio/aerobic exercise is activity that induces heavy breathing or an elevated heart rate.
Stay home if you have COVID-19 symptoms.
COVID-19 symptoms may include fever, cough, shortness of breath, fatigue, muscle/body aches, headache, new loss of taste/smell, sore throat, congestion/runny nose, nausea/vomiting, or diarrhea. If you have any of these symptoms, please stay home and follow CDC guidance regarding COVID-19 symptoms (cdc.gov).
You will be given a touchless temperature check at the desk.
If your temperature checks over 100°F, we will ask you to go home.
Please sneeze and cough into a cloth or tissue or, if not available, into your elbow. Do not shake hands, hug, or engage in any unnecessary physical contact.
Although dancing may look different than it has in the past, we look forward to welcoming you back to The Rose Ballroom. We ask for your cooperation in following these new rules. Any violations of these rules may cause our studio to be closed again. We hope you are continuing to stay safe and healthy during this time and thank you for your patience, flexibility, and cooperation as we work to re-open our studio.
